I’m still trying to figure out all of the things I can ask Alexa.  I’ve gotten into the habit of asking about the weather at night and in the morning and occasionally asking questions like “how many ounces are in a cup” or “play Maroon 5” while I get ready for work or Leonard Cohen while I’m cooking.  I’ve learned I can have her play my favorite podcast’s latest episode and that we can play jeopardy with Alex(a) Trebek.

We may not know all the things we can do with the Echo dot yet, but we have one in every room.  She sometimes answers us even when we haven’t said her name.  (I should be more worried about that than I am, I think).  What have we said that triggered her, and why is she listening for more than just her name?

Despite the fact that we don’t ask that much, I’m not sure we wouldn’t want to go back to not having her. I mean, it’s not like we can’t look things up on our phones or the multiple computers we have in this house!!
